“Do you want to do a vinyl wrap of a combine?”. Um, yes, we do. In 2008, MachineryLink was a 5-year-old company leasing combines to farmers. They needed to capitalize on their successes and make the transition from a startup to a major player.
The solution was the Smarter Harvest Tour, where we created a custom-wrapped combine and took it across country from ag show to ag show to introduce MachineryLink to a whole new crowd of farmers. Before each show, we sent a tabloid-size brochure and hand-screened tour poster inviting prospective farmers to come visit.
The combine was a ridiculously large draw and was featured on local news reports across the midwest. More importantly, the campaign helped MachineryLink hit its aggressive year-on-year growth targets.
